Hmm... 48.92% of the vote qualifies as "losing by a landslide?"  Typical.

Fisher, that simply isn't true.  Lynch won because of several factors:

1. He played the "gotcha" card, offering very little in the form of policy, instead focusing on attacking Benson (the attacks were largely unfounded, but the Law of Repetition made them "true" in the eyes of the sheeple).

2. Benson didn't campaign worth a damn until a few weeks before the election.

3. Lynch married himself to Kerry, since it was likely that Kerry was going to win the state.
