The problem with many enlightened thinkers some of
whom participate at this forum is that they don't like
to admit that there is such a thing as evil in the world.
North Korea's leader is a perfect example and global
intervention(not just from the United States) will be
required to deal with the problem. The same is true
with Iran. Unfortunatley, not all nations have the capa-
city(economic and military) to confront such evil which
is why our nation is in a position to take a leading role.
As the good book says. . .to whom much is given, much
is expected. And to address the naysayers, yes the
United States has perpetrated some evils and njustices throughtout the years, but then not all evil
is created equal. As an example, I certainly wouldn't equate a man having to wear panties on his head in a prison with a decapitation. Taking an innocent life in
a cold-blooded manner is very hard to top in terms of
evil in my book.
Have you ever been to Iran or North Korea? Do you know anything about these places besides what you hear from our government and it's lapdog media?
Did you know that Iran
was a democracy, until they decided to nationalize their oil business in the 1950's? Did you know that our government helped overthrow that democracy and install the Shah, which the people hated. That's why Iran is now ruled by theocratic mullahs.
I don't know much about North Korea (at least I admit it), but what makes their communists any worse than the Chinese communists that we do billions of dollars in business with every year? What makes them any worse than the dictators of Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, or Tajikistan, who are now our "allies"?
If you don't question the drivel that comes out of our government,
you're the one who is having trouble finding the evil in the world.
We can catch the Bushbots in lie after lie, year after year, policy after policy, but they'll always have their backers.
Just the other day in the 2nd debate, Bush claimed that nondiscretionary nondefense spending has only grown 1% per year under his administration.
Just looking up the numbers shows (if I remember correctly) 4% the first year, and 8% the 2nd and 3rd year. Of course, you won't find the Bushbots actually doing their own research when they have the RNC to do it for them.
