That ad ran two weeks and Randy Cassingham (creator of This is True) talked it up. Also, a reader from New Hampshire wrote to tell Randy why he wasn't going to send money to upgrade to the Premium edition. One of the reasons was because Randy took money for advertising for the FSP to help bring more libertarians to his state. Randy wrote a rebuttal to the guy in the next week's edition and other readers also piped up about it.

The FSP got a good three weeks in front of the eyes of over 120,000 readers.

Thanks to the FSP member who sent that ad!

It is great that we are getting a broad range of referral means. And so many friends too.

I really like seeing the stats on the forum page when there are a lot more guests than users. I know it doesn't prove anything but I can't help but think "There are customers in the store! Look sharp!"

I forget...who are 'friends' of the FSP? Are those the people outside of NH who support us in some way?
I am very encouraged how many 'friends' we are accumulating. I wonder how many of these people might join us as we accomplish more and more in NH. :)

They may also be NH residents.  Since the purpose of the FSP is for folks to move to NH, well, can't do what has already been done! ???

Wouldn't be surprised if many of our new friends are NH residents. ;)

There are Friends of the FSP doing awesome work for us.  Michael Edelstein is one...he gave an excellent presentation for us the other night, and is leading the local group in the San Francisco area.  Phil Denisch is another Friend...he leads the speakers bureau and has done innumerable things to help out the project.  Just because a person's circumstances don't allow them to move, doesn't mean they aren't important! :)

Hi
I like the fact that you guys have a table of the sources of the member recruitment.

I was really curious about the timing and patterns in recruitment.
Does anyone have a table of the dates on which people signed up in addition to the sources?

Hey FSP web crew, how about this for the front or member stats page:

Some sort of app that shows the last ten reasons for joining.

That way potential recruits can see this great list!

Ian

It was considered, but Kat handles them in order to edit anything that would compromise a participant's privacy.

Atr,

That makes sense.  Perhaps a way around it would be to alter that field on the signup page to include a checkbox that releases, or prevents their answer from being released to the display app.

Then anyone who wanted to conceal their reason, and the app could display "private".  Others would know in advance that theirs would be on display, and would construct their answers accordingly.

What say ye?
