OK here's the latest on the Strategy Zone get together I tentatively called for Sunday.   We're now on for real, but with minor changes.  If possible, check back here under this thread on saturday night in case I have new info....I may not be reachable by cell phone between now and sunday.

Porcupine outdoor laser tag meet
The Strategy Zone
Goshen NH (40 mi east of concord on hwy 10).
9:30am till 2pm (you can get there late and still play but will miss the tutorial)
http://www.thestrategyzone.com/location.htm

I went by and played a couple games on the 11th and it was great!   Everything I expected with a maximal emphasis on realism....it's not expensive even if you're alone but if we get together a group of 4 or more they will cut our price from 5 bucks an hour to 4 bucks an hour!  much cheaper than paintball and more realistic rifle combat.  Bring camo's if you have them, but you can buy them there fairly cheap.  the selection however is not huge and i'm not sure they have much in the way of camo pants.   Wear drab clothes at least if you don't have camo's.

The workout is respectable but not overstressful....a lot of stealth, slow moving and static sniping.  we are so lucky to live in a state that has this facility!  there are only 8 like it in the nation apparently.

The road forecast also looks favorable, high expected to be 43 degrees.  Personally I like to play some and then skip games so I can stand around talking or just taking in the scenery.

You can leave early no problem.  Look forward to getting shot by you!

Strategy zone Nov 14 was much fun...if you didn't make it you missed out!  Our team won 4 of 5.  But you have another chance coming up:

I'm tentatively calling another get together there, and all local liberty lovers are invited!

Outdoor combat simulation
Sun. Nov 21 9:30am till 2pm
The Strategy Zone
Goshen NH (40 mi east of concord on hwy 10).
http://www.thestrategyzone.com/location.htm

Check back here on fri or sat. to make sure there are no changes.   A word of caution however...beginners luck doesn't last forever.  Most of us are rookies and the other teams aren't.  So you should expect losses and frustration at first in terms of getting kills and staying alive.   It's not that strenuous though.

Spread the word about this if you can!

---

Update as of 11/19 12PM:

I just got off the phone with the folks at the strategy zone and have not yet got a confirmation that the total number of players will be sufficient to play on Sunday.   Check back Saturday night to this thread for the latest on whether we are "go."   Or call me at 603 721 1490...or call the strategy zone directly at (603) 863-2290  You can call either of those numbers sunday morning for the latest on the situation.

---

Update as of 11/20:

Well it looks like you will need to call me Sunday morning (or better yet call the Strategy zone directly) to find out if they'll be open.  It depends on how many people call; they need 10 total between us porcs and the other groups.   There will not be this kind of uncerainty once spring hits, but as the weather gets colder they are not always able to be open.

Forecast:  Showers in the morning, then cloudy in the afternoon. High 48F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 30%.

3p-6p (approx) M-F,
 8AM-10AM Sat (approx):
Against the Grain radio show with Gardner Goldsmith,
call in at 877 313 8255, gardnergoldsmith@clearchannel.com
610 WGIR

This is a libertarian talk show based in Manchester but simulcasts on diff frequencies around the state.   It is extremely high quality, better than Bortz.  The host is very bright and funny and does creative audio production.  I've only heard the show a couple times as of 10/04,  but called in and thanked him for what he's doing, told him about nhliberty.org and their liberty rankings for NH politicians.   I think he would make a bigger blow for freedom if he concentrated more on state and local politics though.   Sometimes his lines jam up on Sat.

Seacoast Porcupine Meeting!

Gateway Family Restuarant
417 Route 108
Somersworth, NH

Saturday November 20th, noon.

Lots we need to talk about, including the election results, what we did right and wrong in the past month, and our individual efforts to promote freedom.  How to become more active and effective.  Update on our networking efforts, groups that we might want to help.

Couple of folks coming in for a scouting trip next month from Kentucky, perhaps an informal get together, and anything else you might want to do, or discuss.

Hope you can make it.
RSVP would be nice!  ;)

Dec 1 at 10AM the NH house meets in Concord, for just that one day, not sure how long.

They meet again jan 5

Update posted 11/30:

My mini protest is still ON; I'll probably be on Main St. in front of the House, on a sidewalk, starting around 830.  I could get kicked off for not having a permit, call me if you don't see me there.

My sign will say:

No tax on
charity
poker

Cathleen has indicated she will come too and others would be really welcome!  But in the absence of great surprises I will be there regardless.

I dont' have permission to use anyone's URL on the signs.   So just write whatever else you like.

If you don't know how to make signs just go by wal mart and get a dry erase board, the biggest you can find, along with a marker.   Keep the shrink wrap in case you have to cover it against rain during the protest.

From Tim Condon:

The date and time for the state-chartering meeting of the Repbublican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire (RLCNH) has now been set. It will be held on

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2004 STARTING AT 6:30 P.M. AT MAKRIS LOBSTER AND STEAK HOUSE RESTAURANT IN CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE.

We have a meeting room reserved at the restaurant for the above time. Because there's a meal involved, the restaurant needs to know how many people are coming. The cost of the buffet-style meal will be $18.70 per person (if you don't have it or don't want to pay it, tell me; I'll probably pay for it myself if you promise to be an RLCNH activist). You can get full information about and directions to Makris Restaurant in Concord by going to www.eatalobster.com. Our meal will include grilled steak tips, chicken marsala, and grilled salmon, as well as lots of other breads, vegetables, and the such. Thus, I need everyone who's going to make it to SEND ME AN EMAIL NOW AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU'LL BE THERE (the quicker, the better, since we're on a deadline; email me at tim@timcondon.net). I hope that every believer in individual liberty and free-market activism will make it to this meeting which will benefit the forces of capitalism and freedom in New Hampshire from that date forward. (You can find out all about the Republican Liberty Caucus, by the way, by going to www.rlc.org.)

At the meeting we will be choosing up and electing RLCNH officers to lead the organization in the Free State, collecting RLCNH membership applications (cost of $30, for those of you who haven't signed up yet), and looking over the national charter application and organizational by-laws.

I will be flying up to New Hampshire (my future home) from Florida (my present home) on the Thursday before the meeting. At the meeting I intend to give a talk entitled "The GOOD NEWS in the New Hampshire Election Results." (Or, "Not All the News Is Bad! Consider These Facts!") If you want to know how I can possibly give a talk like that...plan to attend and hear it!

I'll also be presenting some "Proposed RLCNH Projects for the Next Election." (Hint: Friend-of-freedom GOP Rep. Ed Nutter, 87.5% NHLA rating; and friend-of-freedom GOP Rep. Henry McElroy, 63.64% NHLA rating; and friend-of-freedom GOP Sen. Russell Prescott, 85.71% NHLA rating, all lost their recent re-election efforts to the state house and state senate; we should aim to change that and put them back in office two years from now. In addition, we'll want to talk about the extensive vote fraud that appears to have occurred in this last election in New Hampshire, and about building a corps of Republican Liberty Caucus "on-the-ground activists" who will have a dramatically positive impact on state political elections in future NH elections.).

And finally, I'll be giving everyone at the meeting an invitation and directions to the largest gathering yet of Free State Project Porcupines in southern New Hampshire, which will be held the next day, Saturday, 12/4/04, in Keene, and attended by a BUNCH of the brand new libertarian activists who have joined the FSP migration to the Free State. So BE THERE on Friday night! I look forward to seeing you all!
