Wheels Within Wheels
« on: August 04, 2004, 05:26:18 pm »

Well-- I've taken the first step.  I signed up for the forum.  Now I'm going to dip my toe in the icy waters.

First, some questions:

Is gambling legal in New Hampshire?

Are massage therapists heavily regulated?  What about herbalists and other natural healers?  Regulated to death-- or not?

How difficult is it to become a real estate broker?

Any answers greatly appreciated!

Hiya Dancho

Are all these regarding New Hampshire specifically or the U.S. in general?  I think I know people who've worked in all those fields but not in N.H.

Glad to see you've dipped a toe in ... it's not icy, just takes a little to adjust to the temperature ;)

Depends on the type of gambling. We have dog and horse tracks, lottery (state run), bingo, and non-profits can have "Casino Nights", but no slots or Casinos. Foxwoods Casino, in Connecticutt, is about three hours away. There is a Ferry out of Portland, Maine, that runs to Nova Scotia, and has gambling once outside the three mile limit.

Don't know about this. There are lots of massage therapists around though.

Not real difficult. You can take a course, and then take the Real Estate Exam. If you pass, you can be a salesperson for a broker. After a period of time, (unsure how long), you can get your broker's license.
