Which state would enforce/allow total gun freedom?
« on: June 14, 2003, 06:08:28 pm »

Enforce?  Freedom?
Yes, enforce state law against fed, state, or local authorities
from infringing on the right to keep and bear arms,
any arms except WMD.

Which state
would allow individuals, families, partnerships, groups or corporations
to keep and bear (regardless of fed or international restrictions)
anything from the following lists (if you can buy it)
http://pawss.hampshire.edu/topics/smallarms/arms_types.html
http://192.156.19.109/enduringfreedom/meus_equipment.htm

Would some of our states choke on some of the above?
Which ones?

They should be sent to the bottom of the list.

What do you define as WMD?  Is is how easy it is to kill, or how many it kills?  Or other factors, such as residual effects?

In the Spirit of 1776 remember that the RKBA was intended to give us the freedom to bear any arms necessary to repel an invasion (which the British really were doing with ships, canon, and troops from Britain) and, if worse came to worst, defend ourselves from any enemy foreign or domestic.  There were privately owned firearms, canon, and warships.  That is why the US Constitution, Section 8, paragraph 11 stated
Quote
"To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water:

Some additions to the above list of "arms" that the 2nd amendment should include today.
Marine Infantry Weapons

An aircraft carrier for sale Lot's of corporations have private helicopters, planes, and jet aircraft (I wonder if a Lear Jet could be fitted with a tailhook).

What makes a weapon a WMD or not is
Targeting control:
in space (blast radius), population (epidemic), and time (lingering residuals).

A small tactical nuke is not a WMD if used properly (against a warship offshore or an invasion of armor coming through a pass).
A bulldozer is a WMD if used improperly (against water, power, gas lines).
An ANFO device in a dam or a ship loaded with ANFO in a harbor: See some history about Texas City/Galveston.

Hey Summerlin, I think it's a serious and important question.  There's no reason to accuse hank of being a troll for bringing it up.  Which state will allow us to exercise our Rights without the imminent threat of force?
