Zine info-packet for quick impact.
« on: May 12, 2004, 06:16:55 pm »

I would like to contribute by putting together one or several info packets, organized into a 'zine, to be distributed on campuses, in bookstores, bus stations, anywhere someone conveniently drops a stack.  On campuses, students will pick anything that looks interesting and flip through it. If they discover it to be interesting they will pass it on.
Not being the most effective researcher, I would be grandly appreciative of any contributions to the content of the booklet.  My intention is to include basic info about FSP and some ideological foundations for our existence.  Then I would like to surround it with quotes, suggested reads (preferably w/ summary or short commentary), short political commentary, big government horror stories, and a few big government jokes to balance it out.  Any short stories, personal experiences, impressions of New Hampshire, or anything else you feel would benefit the 'zine would help me immensely.
I'd like to keep it down to 8-10 pages, which in 'zines terms is a few pieces of printed paper, folded and stapled.  Cheap, easy, effective...please contribute freely.  If I can't fit it all into one, I'd love the opportunity to make as many as are necessary.  And when I'm finished putting it(them) together, please feel free to distribute as many and often as you can.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.  I appreciate you, and look forward to meeting you on the other side.

There's some good info in the "Membership Kit" available on the downloads page.

2004 will be the year when the slaves figure out that they can control their futures and finally choose liberty over slavery by withdrawing their support of the State and the agency that is uses to enslave them — the IRS.

Thanks, adonis, and Tom, i've already downloaded all that.  I think I've got all I'm going to use about the official FSP directly from various places throughout the site and it's links.  Now I'm looking for the personal stuff, why individuals have decided the move is worth it, specifically what we think we will accomplish once there, examples of how you've been trounced by the BigBrother machine, etc.  Also the suggested freedom/liberty readings, short essays to inspire and motivate, etc.  Please submit freely!!!! ;D

It's a great idea. Please let me know when you get something together. I can think of quite a few places that I could distribute the info.

Check out this site from Reason magazine:

http://reason.com/brickbats/bb-2004.shtml

It's got a bunch of links to stories about government abuses in the US and around the world.
