Umm.. What about...uhh..pot laws?
« on: April 22, 2004, 10:00:01 pm »

So, how are the local cops about pot? Is it a major deal in NH? Or do they pretty much leave you alone?

My friend was wondering.

Yeah, my friend. That's it. ;D

Well, it's my understanding that the NH pot laws have some of the harshest penalties in the nation.  (Just what I've heard).

But we do plan to change that!

From what I hear, the penalties are pretty harsh, but the law is rarely enforced.

NORML has state-by-state laws. Here is New Hampshire's:

I was also looking at the number of marijuana arrests in NH, and they were pretty trivial. It leads me to believe the laws are rarely enforced, but I don't live there yet so don't take my word for it. :)
