This was the problem, Steve. BillG was specifically told to stop hijacking threads. If he wanted to promote land socialism, he could do so here, creating his own threads.

Bill has this habit of turning every conversation into a Geo-lib one. So, we created the Geo-Lib “commons” specifically to give those concerned with Geo-Lib issues a venue and to keep other threads from being hijacked.

Bill was told to discuss Geo-Libertarianism as much as he wants, only keep it in the Geo-Lib area. He continued to hijack threads and he kept receiving warnings.

Yesterday, the warnings ran out.

BillG may have been doing what he thought was important and though I wouldn't have banned him myself, it seemed a valid option.

There was even a forum created specifically regarding this and still other threads would get hijacked about creating land taxation and get moved to "The Commons".

                                                                             
      The option as far as political ethics was valid if free staters want to allow the leadership to do such things but do you all really want the leadership to take such actions or could there be other better alternatives, I don't know. I'm not a member it is up to the free state members, not non members or the leadership.

The goal now of the FSP is to get 20K liberty minded people to N.H.  If the leadership felt that helps then it's in their right to do.  I have some sympathy for Bill but a lot of people were getting tired hearing the same mantra over and over again.  I know I personally saw at least a few times where, even after the "On The Commons" forum was started Bill would join into another thread and immediate start up with the LVT and economic scarcity rents.  The subject was wearing thin and I believe at least a few people were getting frustrated at the single mindedness of it.  Was it right to ban him?  I don't know but it is a private forum and the people working to keep this board running had a legitimate right to do it.  Again, I don't know of anyone else that actually had their own forum created in an attempt to be fair.  There is a limit to what people can do on the board and apparently we saw it.  That's life.

I liked the guy myself.  Even though I am more of an an-cap, I found his ideas well worth considering.

What the bloody hell? We've banned Bill now? Geo-libertarianism might suck, but I don't think we should be banning people for for bringing it up. Is BillG to become a martyr for his cause among our forum?

Yeah, give the guy another chance.  I doubt we'll have a problem with him (though maybe we can turn to the guys who hijack threads with Rand and Rothbard rhetoric and hold them to the same standards of restraint).

         With Bill and Todd talking of a total tax take of 1.2 trillion to1.5 trillion dollars are they as bad as the flat income tax and sales tax people that want to take that amount in federal taxes alone. Granted I do not hold to taking people land, but I do not hold to taken peoples liquid assets either by force.                                  
    The stated goal is to cut taxes and spending by at least 2/3rds, Todds and Bills idea would do that probally a lot more because I think they overstate land value. The Fair taxers and Forbes flat taxers  are revenue neutral for federal taxes and thus fall very short of the goal. The biggest problem I have with the high rate LVT is that it would really ruin a small percentage of people who do not deserve it.

  Also I fell it is my duty to defend those people, the people I grew up  around, small to medium land  rural land holders who's farms have been in their familes for generations. Land that the government and well connected developers eyes with a passion. Some familes held on despite Sherman and the Union Army, despite the Depression and The TVA confiscations, despite all kinds of government agriculture madates, despite increases in property, sells and income taxes.

Feel free to provide how Bill Grennon posted a message which was so totally disconnected to the supposed thread topic at hand that it required even a "warning". What a fricking joke.

ps I want half the posters to this forum banned for their useless posts as regards to the issue of the commons. Not really. But only because I know Doug Hillman is not applying FSP,Inc. rules equally as provided for in the the FSP, Inc. by-laws.

I agree, archive The Commons and lets start some useful discussions. I've got a lot more productive things to do than trying to contain socialist propaganda.
