NH License Tag Picture Needed!
« on: March 04, 2004, 05:28:33 am »

Hello All,

I need a fairly high quality picture of a New Hampshire automobile license tag. Preferably the newest one. I don't really want the Moose tag, but that may be interesting...

This picture will be used in some upcoming FSP promotional brochures that are being put together.

I have looked around, and all the pictures I found on the web are too low resolution to be useful. They don't print well.

The optimum size would be a straight ahead shot (to avoid parallax distortion) of a tag at a resolution of 1200 x 800 or better. Medium to high quality JPEG compression would be fine.

Do not worry about the letters on the tag - they will be erased and replaced.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

PLEASE don't all start sending me pictures! I have a *slow* dial up connection. If you have an appropriate picture, please send me a message.

And I'll get the first good one.

Thanks!

Eddie

Funny you should mention that, lambda. I debated using a tag when I produced the brochure because of its obvious "state" connotations. I needed a graphic, however, to balance the presentation, and I wanted to use the same graphic if possible to simplify making alternate brochures.

The nice thing about the tag is that you can put in a cute sequence to get your point across. For the gun brochure the tag says "RKBA" (which is available, by the way). For the education brochure it says "HMSKULR". And so on.

It also implies driving and movement and such.

I suspect there may be Federal regulations regarding tags that require their presence. So the way around that would be to give a 25 year tag with one free renewal. That should take care of just about all the cars.

Do the same thing with the driver's license - make it a 100 year license, with one free renewal.

This way, we can have the effect we want while ratcheting up the freedom meter.
