Car Insurance. How much do you pay?
« on: February 24, 2004, 06:56:01 pm »

How much is car insurence typically in New Hampshire.

I would think that because it isn't required that it would be cheeper then in other states, but how much cheeper?

How much do you pay for you're vehicles and what are their values and stuff?

Any data would be helpfull. I'm trying to figure out if the cost of living in New Hampshire is cheep enough (as well as the low taxation) is worth it, so I can figure out how soon I'll be able to move.

Well, I don't buy insurance anymore, but last time I did, about 4 years ago, it cost me $250 for a year. I was 32 years old at that time.

About $3,000. Most of that $250 was liability.

I have a two-yr. old Saturn with two adult drivers, both clean records, and only car policy has uninsured, underinsured property liability comprehensive/collision liability 50/100/300 limits with $500 deductible, the car is currently valued at $14,000.

In Fresno, California, with this policy I paid $1,362 per year.  Now, in a medium-urban area of Northern Utah my policy has been reduced to $738 per year.

Hope that helps.  I also seem to remember that at Progressive.com they have a scrolling real-time quote display of current insurance quotes.

Those adults are over 25 years old Kelton?

Wow. Sounds like I could cut my car insurence by half or more by going to New Hampshire. Or, wait that's in Utah :-(

Any other New HAmpshirites besides Mike?

What's the adress for that site Kelton?
