NH Union Leader interview
« on: October 09, 2002, 02:59:25 pm »

Well, I just got off the phone with Rich Talbot, from the NH Union Leader
paper -- he was responding to our press release (belatedly) but we spent a
good deal of time discussing the project. I was not expecting the call!!

He seems supportive, actually -- the only advice he gave me when I asked him
(off the record, of course) about advice on the media page we'll be putting
up, was that we should be clearer about distancing ourselves from any
political party -- "let your ideas stand on their own," he said.

He was pretty touchy about Vin, though.

So any NHites who see it, let us know, ok? Scan a copy, maybe? Thanks!

P.S. Michelle D, I mentioned your name and your report, you might get
mentioned.

This is awesome Elizabeth  ;D

The Union Leader has a tendency to be supportive of freedom-oriented groups, so my bet is that the article will be great.

I'll keep an eye out for it and make sure you get a copy.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I too just finished a 45-minute interview with Roger Talbot. Rich T., another NH FSP member also did a 1-hour interview with him today.

Mr. Talbot seemed very interested and very supportive. I'm quite optimistic that his article will favorable and fair  ;D

He is shooting to have it in this Sunday's edition of the paper, but isn't positive. I know what I'll be doing first thing Sunday morning...running out to buy that paper. This is so exciting...so far, both the television and print media in NH have been supportive. Honestly, I don't think we could have wished for any better.
