Patriots in Superbowl?
« on: January 11, 2004, 02:31:29 pm »

Proof that God is smiling down upon FSP!

Whether you like them now or not, they will become our "adopted" NFL team.  They're one win away!

I'm hoping for a Philly-New England superbowl.  This way, no matter who wins, I can say they're my team.  ;D

It will be a hard game to watch, though, because the other one will also be my team, and one of them has to lose.

I'm sorry, even though I'll be living up there - I'll always be a Vikes fan.  I've weathered the biggest letdowns from them - and this year wasn't one of them.  They surprised themselves and couldn't carry it through.  With a new defensive coach, and some holes filled in special teams, and hopefully injuries healed - they should be good for next season.

As for this Super Bowl, I like the Panthers - another underdog team that came out of nowhere.

I watched both championship games on Sunday.

The Patriots completely destroyed the Colts.
They looked great.

The Panthers looked like a good team who outplayed the team that they had to outplay on that day.  The Eagles looked really really bad.   :'(  Even though I'm an Eagles fan, I do think they weren't that great a team this year and a lot of their wins were pure luck.

If the Patriots play like they played on Sunday, no team can beat them.

Just my humble opinion.

I live in CT.  Robert Kraft is pretty much hated around here for some crap he pulled a couple of years ago.
But, what the Hell, I'm mov'in to New Hampshire!
Go Patriots!

I don't usually watch football, except when the Pats are in the playoffs.
But I saw the first half of the last game. It was great.
Of course, I'm a huge fan of another Boston team... One that I shall not name on a football thread, but they have Curt Schilling this year.... ;)
