Population Density
« on: November 05, 2002, 02:06:31 pm »

Many have made the argument that one of the western states should be chosen because of their lower population densities. It does make sense that less populated areas tend to be naturally less statist (Thomas Jefferson had this one figured out long before population pressure was a big issue).

Does that mean libertarianism cannot work in a heavily populated area? If so, I cannot see how libertarianism will have any long term future anywhere unless the human  population stops growing.

If everyone were rich there would be no need for government assistance. If everyone were rich all children could attend private schools. If everyone were rich, government would become superfluous. Read the free e-book at this site:

Neighbors too close are often a nuisance. Nuisances are breeding ground for government interference.

A hundred yards between houses makes neighbors more appreciative of each other. Instead of being a nuisance, they are valued and needed neighbors.

Infectious statism breeds and multiplies where are more than a hundred people per square mile.

Geez...Neighbors closer than 100 yards are also a blessing to if your house is on fire!

Perhaps you favor a law in the Free State Hank!  No neighbors closer than 100 yards! ;D

Surely we can create a Free State if we keep people at a distance?
