NH roads & gasoline taxes
« on: October 09, 2003, 07:18:16 pm »

No sales tax, no state income tax and NH doesn't accept federal highway tax money. How are the highways and roads? How does NH pay for maintenance, repair and new construction?

What is the price of regular unleaded gasoline today in NH? We can then compare it with our local price. Is it taxed at the state, county or local level?

There are tolls on all the north/south highways.  We tax those from NYC, CT, and MA as they head to ski country, the lakes, and Maine.  Here's a hint - buy the tokens as they are half price.  The roads are great.  Lot better than MA.  Less cars, fewer trucks, less traffic.  And we know how to plow snow.  Regular unleaded is about $1.67 now...
