The birth certificate was valid and is filed at the county court house.  I'm not sure if they are just giving a hassle asking for other documents because I did not give them a social security number and legally they know they can't demand it.

Others I'm told have used the OMB argument with success regarding the SSN.  Anyone here have some direct experience?

Well, it took some fighting with the passport office, and a strongly worded letter threatening legal action...

... but I got my passport WITHOUT the SSN.

The OMB control number argument worked like a charm.  They never pressed for those forms to be filled out once you bring that up.

However, one last snag...

... And that is signing the document.

What am I signing to?

The name is spelled in ALL CAPS.  So I know something is up. They aren't recognizing me as a person.  And place of birth and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA are all in all caps as well.  Interesting that that is the only place on the document they are in all caps.

I've read signing "Without Prejudice" may offer protection.  Anyone here have experience?

What about not signing at all?  It has an RFID chip, so the odds are I might not have to show the document.

Your thoughts?

Thank you for the update. Very encouraging. I'm going to need to start this process within a few months so that I can travel next year.

About all CAPITAL LETTERS Re: Help Getting A Passport Without A SSN
« Reply #20 on: December 22, 2011, 06:43:26 am »

Yes, all CAPITAL letters indicates a fictional entity
or in other words a STRAWMAN... not a natural
born Man or Woman.

Since all natural born Men and Women have the inalienable
right to travel anywhere on God's earth, the only way
a fictional entity can gain control over you is for you to
agree you are a fiction as well...

You can always have a rubber stamp made with
9 point letters stating the following and the stamp
it above your autograph.

Without prejudice U.C.C. 1-308. All rights protected prior to 1926.

I carry it everywhere, and anything I sign has the stamp.
They say a stamp is better than just writing it, because it
shows premeditation of your concern.

I would suggest you Goggle U.C.C. 1-308 and become
very familiar with this code so you can express it word
for word if called upon.

That's it!

P.S. - Yes, it's true... no one in the 50 states united is required
to have a Social Security number to live and work in the united
states of America.  If you write the Baltimore Social Security
office they will verify this fact.

What is the OMB control number argument? I haven't been able to find it stated in any way to the defense of not needing an SSN. Anyone have a link to clear and concise information?
