Economic Future/Sound Money
« on: March 15, 2017, 12:32:17 pm »

I would imagine most of the people on a Libertarian forum believe we need to go back to sound money for our currency. I am curious if people on here are taking steps to prepare themselves for potential future economic chaos as a result of the fiat money system imploding. Is this on anyone else's radar as a potential issue that could affect our daily lives? Also is it practical to set up some sort of honest money system for trade prior to the fiat monetary system collapsing? I know bitcoin is growing in popularity, and while not as tangible as precious metals, would that be the obvious substitute in a dollar crash scenario?

very big topic at meetings in NH

I prefer gold and silver.
many things are discussed
The NH Underground - "First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win." -Mahatma Gandhi
New Hampshire Free Press - The Nonviolent Revolution Starts Here

"Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces." -- Etienne de La Boetie, The Politics of Obedience: The Discourse of Voluntary Servitude
