My FSP LTE to Colorado Springs paper
« on: January 18, 2016, 04:11:20 pm »

Sent this to the Colorado Springs Gazette newspaper. Feel free to use it as a template and send a modified version to the paper where you came from.

"As a guy who grew up in Colorado Springs and returns about once a year, there's no denying its superiority over nearly all the other places a person could live.  But even I could not resist the lure of something better still:  Freedom.  The Springs has more of that than most places too, but next month New Hampshire's Free State Project is expected to accomplish something that is unrivaled. It will likely complete its key goal of recruiting 20,000 "liberty migrants."

Almost 2,000 of us who signed the pledge to move here...have already done so. We've raised hell against big government and helped Ron Paul take second place in the last Primary.  In 2011 the "Porcupines" and their allies shrank the state government by 11%; eighteen free staters now hold seats in the state legislature.   Take the first step toward joining us on this peaceable but pistol-packin' adventure.  Drop by  Your hunger for freedom will do the rest."
