High speed internet / ski mountain access
« on: January 03, 2016, 12:43:06 am »

Hello, all.

I am looking for a location with good ski mountain access (loved Killington last year--avid skier here) as well as good bandwidth (something north of 30Mbps down, 15 up, preferably double both those figures and without a monthly cap).

I'm looking to buy a detached dwelling with some land. Ability to construct other detached dwellings on the land would be a bonus.

What areas should I look at?

I'm looking for unique free state perspectives here as I'm doing traditional research in tandem.

The Greater Conway Area. Jackson, Bartlett, Glen, there's a few towns up that way.
There's about 5 different ski areas within 20 minutes of each other.
The views of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range are amazing.
There's a couple ISP companies fighting for business there. TimeWarner and Fairpoint come to mind.
I would reach out to both and find out what kind of speed they can provide.
You can still be in Boston in about 3 hours from there too.
