Hi All,

I'm a first time Porc Fest attendee and trying to figure out this whole lodging thing. So apparently there are no motel rooms available in the area, and a 7-day minimum on campsites. Anybody looking to rent out a campsite for the night of 6/25? It's just me and a small 1-person tent, although I'm not against the idea of sleeping under the night sky either. In any case, if anybody is interested in helping out a very low-maintenance guy to achieve his modest goals of attending his first Freedom Festival, let me know.

Hi Andrew - Daniel Cuevas (dcuevas718@gmail.com) is renting out campsites in "Expo Village" area of Rogers.

There should be at least 1, if not 2 motels with rooms still available in the area. Plus there is another campground in the area you could stay at with likely a 1-2 day minimum. I do recommend staying at Roger's for the whole week though, especially if you are coming by yourself

Just in case, you might want to bring bug spray, a $1 poncho, baby wipes, shower shoes, and some water.

As a bonus, NH state parks are entirely self-sustaining, and receive no tax money.

Edit to add: wilderness camping is allowed in the White Mountains National Forest, which comes as close to Roger's Campground as about 15 miles or so. Appalachian Trail hikers certainly camp along the way. I haven't looked at the details, but here is the USFS page about it:

Really? It seems like they have a lot of that available in the on-site store and their prices really aren't bad. You'd think they would gouge more for the convenience but they really don't.

I thought the "just in case" suggested not being able to get a spot on the campground, and having to pitch a poncho out in the woods somewhere.
