Based on the same method, the study found the 10 least corrupt states. They are

1. Oregon
2. Washington
3. Minnesota
4. Nebraska
5. Iowa
6. Vermont
7. Utah
8. New Hampshire
9. Colorado
10. Kansas

There is a strong correlation between elevated state spending and corruption in all but one of the states (South Dakota is the only exception).

I wonder what the state rank of corruption per spending is; not total spending.

Another ranking shows New Hampshire as the 4th least corrupt state. Two different sources. Both come to similarly positive conclusions about New Hampshire.
