Last minute accommodations
« on: April 10, 2014, 10:30:23 pm »

As a married father things always seem to come up at the last minute and it makes long term planning difficult with the possibility of wasted money.  If I'm able to attend this year, it'll probably decided a week or so before festivities kick off.  How hard is it to find a last minute parcel of land on the cheap (that is I'm not paying >$50 to set up my glorified bivy sack of a tent on the grass)?  Thanks in advance for any answers, suggestions, and tips!

A lot of folks "sublet" a piece of a tent site from someone else.

You mean per night, right? It will likely be more than that for the whole week.

Right, per night.

Expect it to be around $15 a night, it will also be easy. A number of people show up each year without camping space and just walk round to find something. Facebook is far more active, you should post to the event to make some contacts https://www.facebook.com/events/591716827571060/
