Activist arrest video disappears from YouTube
« on: December 16, 2013, 03:59:14 am »

NH liberty update:  Activist arrest video disappears from YouTube.  A newly relocated free stater and minor celebrity known as Amanda "Billyrock" was taken into custody during a New Hampshire traffic stop around December 14.

This allegedly had something to do with jumping the gun on a red light.  But she may have had some sort of license/registration issue.  During the video, Billyrock at least part of the time refuses to speak to the officer at her driver-window.

He tells her if she doesn't answer his questions he will arrest her for "disobeying an officer."   Seriously!   Someone videotaped the incident and it posted at youtube.com/ABillyRock when she got out around December 15.

But now the video is listed as removed-by-user.

Additional details coming in; Free Keene is reporting she took down the video on the advice of her lawyer.

Also Billyrock appears to have gone quiet as a mouse since taking down the vid....at least I'm suddenly seeing zero posts or vids from her.  I guess the question would be....is she going to gain some net advantage from this sudden self-censorship, or will it do her more harm than good?   Probably the important thing is that she avoid "falling through the cracks" between PR defense and legal defense.  Some people make all the wrong decisions in these situations...losing both the benefits of transparency and the benefits of secrecy.

Shocking development: activist actually follows the advice given by her lawyer, who got out of bed in the middle of the night and drove across state to get her out of jail.

Good grief. She should have better sense than to listen to the advice of her lawyer who's job is to get her off. She should be listening to the advice of reporters who depend on selling exciting stories.
