IT (sysadmin) work? Able and willing to move now...
« on: March 06, 2013, 03:45:24 pm »

I'm a libertarian since 1999 when I heard of libertarianism from my then girlfriend.  I loved Harry Browne, gave money to Ron Paul, and try to help people learn more about our good ideas whenever I can.  I have flirted with the idea of moving to NH for a while now, but am not an overt activist type so I'm not sure I would count as one of the 20,000 this project is looking for.  Having said that, I would do my best to gently advance libertarianism by being a good libertarian and leading by example.

If anyone knows of a need for someone with 14 years in IT with a focus on Microsoft/Linux/Apple/Cisco setup and support with a strong background in high-demand 24/7 IT environments, let me know.  I will move tomorrow.  I have been looking for work in CA, FL, and MI (because of family there) and the unemployment rates in all three states are very high.

Thanks for reading my first post here.

Welcome! A very large number of us work in technology.

but am not an overt activist type

Many of us are not. Activism can run the gambit from helping people run pro-liberty websites, running for office (local office is easy to win and has a huge impact) through to "high impact" getting arrested and everything between these.

This area of the country has the highest growth, lowest rates of unemployment and extremely high demand for technology staff. The technology hub of the state is Nashua but really aywhere in the south eastern part of the state (Manchester, Concord, Portsmouth, Salem) will likely have jobs available. Northern MA is also easily commutable particularly from the border towns.
