Well Im in
« on: January 21, 2013, 12:13:36 am »

Several roadblocks that I had hoped would be gone by now remain in place, making it difficult to impossible to run for state legislature in NJ. Thus, I am now cleared to move to NH next year. I could possible move in the fall of this year if I transfer to UNH for one semester, but thats kind of ridiculous. Id prefer to just finish here and be done with it.

In any case, I am saving up money now and should be all set by moving time. Roughly, I think April to June would be the time. I can move when its warm, but not hot, and then experience the seasonal transition. Additionally, I will be bringing along two fellow libertarians, including the one who ripped me out of my socialist fervor. He is from Minnesota, the other from Idaho. In addition to that, I can probably sway about 20 people to move. Im going to talk to the local YAL and Libertarians about it.

I have no idea where I want to settle, but that can come later. I will first need a cheap apartment (for 3) with gas stoves and internet. Nothing else matters that I can think of right now, altho being near the trains probably is a good idea to start off (Dover, Durham, Exeter).

See yall soon! I hope to be at PorcFest this year and Im planning to be at ISFLC in Feb if FSP will have a booth there. They did at SFL NYC.

Good news. :-)

Awesome! If you are almost done with college, check around your university. Many colleges offer 2 hour classes in how to write a resume and how to act at a job interview. Get those services now.

Awesome. If you know any students interested in attending Liberty Forum (Feb 21st to 24th), let me know. The FSP offers a 50% discount for college students.

The apartments near the train aren't cheap. Though, there are buses that go all over Dover so maybe you can find an apartment somewhere cheap in Dover, take the bus to the train and take the train somewhere else. Actually, I'm not sure why you want to be near the train. You planning on working in Boston? If you want to work in New Hampshire, of the 2 larger cities in NH (Manchester and Nashua), rent is lower in Manchester. Though, the city buses have longer hours and more helpful routes in Nashua. There are buses that go from Concord, Manchester, Nashua and Salem to both the South Station in Boston and the Boston airport. http://www.bostonexpressbus.com/index.php/schedules

Ive done such in the past and have interviewed a few times. Im probably going to take some mundane job until I get settled in and then Ill figure out something better.

Oh you need to publicize that more! I saw the $199 price tag and thought hell no. I mean I can afford it, but I have a lot more above that on my hierarchy of wants. Most of us are poor, so I doubt Ill be able to get anyone. Especially when ISFLC is $30 at the latest registration (well plus room ).

So I can get back to NJ easily if I need to. I love trains and plane just aint worth it. Eventually Ill move north of there.

Great! Im not set in stone going to DC. Im trying to get my friend to let me stay at his place, but his roommates are balking. Id rather not pay for a room.

Im seriously so excited and libertarians Ive told are either interested or jealous or both.

Awesome! ;D

Make sure and let people know when you're moving, if you want help -- we have a tradition of "moving parties" for new movers (you provide pizza and drinks) -- it makes everything go a lot more quickly. We had a large apartment worth of stuff moved in an hour.

Also, consider starting in Nashua! (gotta get a plug in).

If you don't want meals, just a speaker's pass, it's only $100, just fyi.
