Job Description

The Category Launch Manager, Lacrosse, located in the Southern New Hampshire/Greater Boston region, will support the Category General Manager to achieve seasonal category objectives, working with cross functional teams (including sales, marketing, product development, product sourcing, supply and demand) to construct and execute seasonal product plans for the lacrosse product line.

As a Category Launch Manager, Lacrosse, you will be responsible for:

Ensuring the successful launch of new products by providing coordination and guidance to cross functional teams, interpreting input from markets to build a “brief” (including a line plan and price targets) and working with the design and development team to develop design criteria. You will also coordinate execution of the product creation process and monitor the production process to ensure it is in line with the strategic plan.
Assisting the Category General Manager to develop 3-year category strategy and seasonal category objectives; performing business analysis, consumer and market research, marketplace and competitive analysis, and pricing and margin accountability; and providing support for strategic and budget planning, product innovation, sales and marketing strategy, as well as inventory planning and management.

Desired Skills & Experience

Duties require a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, with 3-5 years experience in a product or retail related role.

- General understanding of retail merchandising and product development process.

- Knowledge of lacrosse required.

- Strong organizational and analytical skills required.

- Proficient in MS Office Suite.

- Ability to create consensus and work cooperatively.

- Must have excellent information seeking skills.

- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and effective presentation skills required.

- Demonstrated ability to create new ideas pertaining to the product and process.

- Approximately 20% travel required, including international travel.
