--especially the southern seacoast.

;D That sounds kind of funny considering how small the NH seacoast is. I think I know what you mean (Seabrook?), but it still sounds funny.  ;D

What areas are you both moving to?

Do you need help unloading the truck?

We haven't found a solid place yet, but we are flying into Manchester. We hope to find a furnished appt in Manchester or Keene. We might need help, but not with unloading! We don't have much.

This place http://porcmanor.com/domicile/spacious_3_br_apartment_off_street_parking is 5 blocks from Murphy's and 3 blocks from a major grocery store. It isn't furnished, but might be OK as a starting point.

I would LOVE to live on the seacoast. Salt air, corrosion, storms, erosion, oh yeah.

Curt, you'll get the salt from the roads every winter anyway.  My first car as a teen in Laconia (note -- Laconia is nowhere near the seacoast) was a rusted out semi-hulk and it was less than a decade old, a '64 Impala purchased for a pittance in 1972.

I know. I'm looking at my 98 Isuzu and I already know what it will look like in a couple of years. Leprosy.

When I had been in Pittsfield, MA, for 2 years, my 10 year old Saab that in Washington State had been pristine, blossomed with a thousand points of rust.

The idiocy of road salt is almost too much to bear. I've heard that potassium chloride is cheaper, easier on the environment and does not destroy cars or roads, but it just isn't used.

But that's just another argument of proximate cause vs. ultimate cause. The govt is rusting my car.

Ward, I thought you were still in NJ?

I am indeed still in the hellhole that is New Jersey.  The several years I lived in New Hampshire were four decades ago, about the time the LP was founded.  I've spent much time regretting leaving for college and the USAF.  I will return.

I will return.

There, tsk, you've gone and done it, now you'll have to wade ashore.

Speaking of NJ, I'm planning my moving route to go up through Penn to avoid being anywhere DC, NJ and NYC, even avoiding MA. Getting from one side of VT to the other is an exercise in rural paving problems, but I think it's better than the risk of taking even well locked and packed defensive arms through those territories.
