Visiting Feb 25-27
« on: February 15, 2010, 09:33:15 pm »

We are taking our anniv. trip to check out N.H. next week.  We're staying in Laconia and are interested in meeting porcs from Lake Win, Concord or Labanon areas or nearby.  Is anyone getting together on these dates for any reason or just hanging out together?  Would love to meet other liberty lovers and discuss joining and moving this summer.

Come on. ?  Nobody gets together on weekends to hang out in the whole mid-section of the state?  We want to meet liberty loving people from the FSP! That's one of the main reasons we are driving in from western NY.

Event with plenty of liberty activists - and food - AND in the lakes region. From there, you'd probably meet a lot of people and then find something else to do.

most freestaters .... and especially those that party all weekend, don't read this forum.
you are going to miss liberty tuesdays in lebanon by 2 days

if you would like to visit some of us in Grafton, we can plan a visit at our farmhouse. it takes about an hour to get between here and there. You can take 2 different routes to see the snowy countryside. :)

the movement is getting very big .... unless people know who you are and you give them lots of notice, they won't notice you came and went for a visit.

This past weekend, big event(s) (Well, let's see: luau, LP convention, folks moving who needed help, and more)
Feb 25-27, not much beyond what people have told you.
Next weekend, Merrimack Valley Porcs.
Following weekend, Concord Porcs.
Later in March: Liberty Forum - aka monster weekend.

You just happened to hit on one of the slower weekends.

Jim's event will be a decent turnout, and a good place to meet folks.
If you want more, post on the more Social forums, nhunderground.com, or facebook (the Porcupine group would be a good place)

If you get in touch with someone from the welcome wagon, they should be able to tell you this.

Thank you to those who responded.  Now, I am feelin' the love.  Will prob go to the senator's thing on Fri.  Then, Hey Russell, what about Saturday?  You tell me the time and place (585-406-5715).  We'd be happy to drive.  We're just going to be driving around seeing sights, eating out and hoping to meet people.  Speaking of eating out, any suggestions for any place in the state's mid-section?

The senator's thing is on Thursday :)

If you decide to stay in NH until Sunday, feel free to stop at Social Sundays in Keene.  It usually lasts from around 5 P.M. to 10 P.M or so.

Thanks Keith.  I was confused on the date.
We're registered for the Forsythe thing now.  Unfortunately, we're going to be leaving late Sunday morning to head back.  Otherwise, we'd love to go to the Social Sundays.  Looks like we not only chose an off week, we chose off days since we're missing Liberty Tuesday in Lebanon too.  Maybe next time.  Wishing we could come back for March event, but won't be able to.  Maybe by next year, we'll be residents!  That's what this trip is all about; deciding whether this is a good choice for all of us (+ 2 daughters).
Anyone else want to get together to talk up the Free State Project or NH or just want to get chummy with some out-of-staters, let me know asap.  Still making plans.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your experience in NH, feel free to post about it on this forum.

There are likely going to be several large freedom events in NH this year that you may want to come back for to give us a second chance including but not limited to:
Spring Free Keene Fest Keene, NH
Summer Porcfest Lancaster, NH
Summer Live Free or Die Rally Jaffrey, NH
Summer Burning Porcupine Grafton, NH
Fall Free Keene Fest Keene, NH

There are also various holiday and birthday events throughout the year that tend to have 15-60 people.  For example, there was an event in Grafton, NH last week that had 60+ people.
