Need an apartment by the middle of October
« on: October 09, 2009, 12:25:46 am »

Need an affordable apartment. Pay day is the 2nd Thur of each month.  Low income.  Family of 4. From the eldest to the youngest, 66, 60 (me), 19 and newborn.  Prefer 3 bedroom if at all possible.

Will also accept any mobile living - even 2 of them would be fine as long as we can have them side by side.  That would probably be more reasonable for us.  Rent with option? Or, if they are not a lot of money, we can buy outright, but will need the land to hook them up on.  Anyone have any prices or rough estimates on cost, land, etc?

We have a 4 bedroom  "Earth sheltered" home in Maine and will be renting it out by the room.  Will need to clean it up first. We have 17 years of 'stuff' that fills each room. :(

Where will you be working?  This will determine whereabouts you can live, no?

Are you keeping your Maine job(s)?

Rents in Manchester are approx. $850 per month for a 3 bedroom apartment on the low end.

Have you signed the FSP Statement of Intent as participants?

There may be a couple apartments available in Milton, NH, which is  north of Rochester and near the Maine border.  You could probably get in there in an oversized 2 bedroom (could work as a 3 BR) for $700 a month.  Or two units in the same building, each (2 BR) at $650 a month.  Doesn't include heat.
