Who wants to caravan to an inland Border Patrol Checkpoint?
« on: April 19, 2009, 08:57:49 pm »

Are there routine inland Border Patrol Checkpoints in New Hampshire or Vermont?

If so, I would like to organize a caravan of a couple cars, with videographers in each, to drive through the checkpoint to assert our rights and refuse to answer their questions (a la CheckpointUSA).

Any volunteers or info regarding New England checkpoints?

There has been a checkpoint in Vermont.   Near where 89 hits 91 on 91.

I don't know if it is currently active.   It seems to operate mostly around holidays.

I go through there on my way to work and it was only open once this month.  I think it was near Easter so your probably right about holidays.....I remember a few years ago my father and I went through there and received the typical "Are you a U.S citizen?" harassment and my father just said "ARE YOU?" and the guy was like "actually no...."  wooooww.

Count me in.  I'll be coming CT up I-91 and will try to watch for any on the south bound.

they sometimes have one 91 southbound right after 89 at a rest area
also they sometimes have one just south of the notch leading to Rogers Campground on 93 where the road get bigger and before you can turn onto other sideroads.
