2009 Porcfest Campsite Reservations
« on: March 05, 2009, 11:44:00 pm »

Yes, I'm early but...
Last year Gunstock pushed us out and away from the Poplar Field area where all the stuph was going on.  We want to be at the center of stuph this year.  Anyone know where we are going to be gathering for thinks like AltExpo and stuph?

The place just isn't that big. Here is a map.

http://www.rogerscampground.com/

Even if you end up in a tentsite in the upper left or right you are not more than a ten minute walk anywhere else. I think some of the events will be held in the field on the lower right. The speach a fying will probably be in the Bingo Hall.
I had tentsite #2 for a couple of years and loved it!

Man, I would hate to have to walk from site 298 to the pavilion. Although eyeballing it from google maps it doesn't look like too much more than a half mile walk.

If you bring a bike you can get places faster and still have fun along the way.

Neither sound all that good but we will have bear protection (we ARE Free Staters ya know)...  ear plugs come with guns these days...  I'd like to be in a similar place to the Poplar Field at Gunstock...  that was great (but we got sent to another spot) :(
I want to be around the happenings and the happening people.  O0

We have a travel trailer and maybe some guests too. I was looking at 87 but I can't figure out what "PM#87" is.  I like the location as it looks close to the area you speak of...  is Rogers putting aside a special or designated space for us too?

There has been a rumor , just a rumor, going
around that Lloyd might snore just a little.

I was looking at 87 but I can't figure out what "PM#87" is.

PM stands for Park Model.  That's what they call the trailers.  Most are privately owned, but Rogers does have a few that they rent out.
Call Rogers to check availability.

PS nobody else has to worry about Lloyd's snoring.  He's staying with me at PM20.

I live with a bulldog.  Your snoring can't BEGIN to compare ;)
I am thinking that a good mix of people, that will be near goings on but we'll also be able to get sleep if we want to looks like it will be just to the left of that park model Jerry (another of my heroes) at the tips of those fingers.  How about we start gathering people in that area, or suggesting that area or something?  Everyone will have their personal preferences but I think for those who do want to come socialize and stuph it might be good...  kinda like the "Poplar field" at the government's Gunstock.
