Why do you guys have to stoop to insulting people on the Friendly Forum?

Because we're insulting and childish? To shame them publicly for conjectural fear-mongering? What sort of answer do you want? I don't see anything particularly "insulting". 'Cept for him being called a "nutcake". Though in Denis' defense, portending imminent economic doom without articulating any particular reason for it is, in my book, a bit "nutty".

His reasoning seemed to be inflationary fears...
That would drive commodity prices and interest rates higher... and most likely result in a declining equity market.

Just I feel the FED has upside potential on interest rates to protect against inflation, but clearly limited power to prevent deflation.

CPI data shows we've had deflation for the last... well, since Feb 2009.
