Lancaster NH
« on: October 14, 2008, 07:50:29 am »

Greetings.  Heard about FSP a few years back while living in Belgium.  Moved to Canada and found out it was still on the go.  So here I am in Lancaster NH!  Ready to get involved.  I see there are some old posts from people living in the area.  Any of you still out there?

Welcome!  I don't know which FSPers are in/near Lancaster, but I'm sure someone who's active on the forums will know.

The Lancaster area is beautiful!  You're lucky to live there.   :)

Welcome!  How long have you been in state?  Did you sign up as a member or move on your own when life permitted?  Good to have you here.

I'd recommend calling the welcome wagon person in your area to help you get plugged into free state activism/social scenes in your area.  Also, I highly recommend that you plan on coming to the New Hampshire Liberty Forum.  It's a great event and you'll also get a great opportunity to meet other porcupines.

Liberty-minded candidates in your area need your help in the next few weeks.   See http://www.nhliberty.org/2008_endorsements for a list.

Join the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance, and help to review the new bills as they start coming out for the next session.

Thanks!  I will check out the suggestions.  I signed up for the project when we had moved to Canada and I found out FSP still existed.  Bought some land in NH (12 acres, good for get togethers  ;)) and we are building our home here. My husband kept asking why not Vermont?  Ha! The point of FSP is to move to NEW HAMPSHIRE. My husband will continue to work in Montreal but I am now here full time, the house being livable.  I am really looking forward to getting involved in this:  having spent over 25 years in Europe I know that path is NOT the one to go down.  I believe passionately in individual liberty and am a strict constitutional constructionalist.  I have 2 sons still over in the UK who are also very interested.  Oh, I am an American, as are my children.  There are a number of people up in Lancaster who might be interested in FSP, but would also like to meet existing area members to get more involved.

Thanks to you all for such a warm welcome.  I hope to meet some or all of you at the Liberty forum.  Oh, and boy do I know how lucky I am.  Not only am I out of the socialist "paradise" of the EU, but in countryside so so beautiful and part of something I believe in.

To meet up with other porcs, check out events on http://www.nhlibertycalendar.com/.  I assume you know about Taproom Tuesday every Tuesday in Manchester?  Definitely check that out.

Sconniegal,

Welcome Home!  Glad to hear you are enjoying Northern NH.  It's great to have another freedom fighter in state.

Thank you for offering your energies to help the liberty movement in the Free State.  There are so many great opportunities for you to take advantage of your skills and interests.  You should post them here or PM me with your main areas of interest, and we'll try to plug you into the pro-liberty networks closest to where you live.

Please start by joining the NHLA at www.nhliberty.org.  If you like politics and policy, this org will help you connect with the legislators up north and you can also help with legislative review activities -- an area in which Porcupines have been affective and influential.

There are regular FSP gatherings in Concord, Seacoast, Manchester, and Lebanon/Hanover.  Hopefully you will be able to attend some of those once in a while to meet fellow movers and activists.

Glad you're here.  Get your husband down here with you.  He'll thank you one of these days!

Also, to add to this, Sconniegal think about starting a meet-up for Northern NH Porcupines. Maybe in North Conway? I know there is a very nice brewpub there.
