damn it all. well.. anyone wanna help me?
« on: May 27, 2008, 11:30:49 am »

so, because of the horrible scheduling by our AD, the film i'm working on will still be in production during porcfest.  at this point, i have mon & tues off (however, that may change).  if there is someone willing to share a hotel room for 1 night, i could maybe make it for my two days off that week.  it's my first porcfest and i REALLY want to be there. i just can't miss work, and i can't find justification in spending money on travel, events, etc... for only a few hours.  if i had two days there (even though they appear to be the slow days) i could feel a little better about it.

let me know if anyone wants to go in on 1 night hotel (no campsite... it's my day off... i don't wanna build my home and then sleep on the ground.  sorry nature nuts).

hit me up on the private mssg here asap.  i'm not going to register till i am sure i can make it, and i know what my days off will be.

thanks!

I will be staying at a timeshare week in Ashland with my parents that will have a fold-out couch if you get desparate.  It is about 19 miles to Gunstock.  Call me tonight if you are interested...we leave this Fri.  860-482-9825 ( or later, my cell is  941-875-4818 )   Sharyn

Smeg,
I have the perfect solution -- a cottage on the lake that sleeps 4.  It has two bedrooms and I'll be there from Monday night through Sunday, so you can stay Mon/Tues or whenever.  Chip in whatever you're comfortable with for rent, say $20-30 bucks a night.  It has a full kitchen, bathroom, etc. and certainly beats a tent.  It's 8 miles from Gunstock, about 15 minutes.  I'll be driving to Gunstock every morning at 9:00 and returning each evening around 10.

Your problem is solved.
