Free money from Bank of America
« on: December 03, 2007, 02:29:32 pm »

When we moved from Nashua to Hudson, within Hillsborough County, the USPS sent us a junk mail package with one thing of use: A coupon that I brought to Bank of America and opened a checking account, with $100 and the bank adds $100 to it. Free money. Look for it.

What's the catch?  Is there any account fees or minimum balance requirments?  There's gotta be something to this.

The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it NOW deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.

I would imagine the catch goes something like this:
* This promotion will attract many new customers
* Most of those customers won't keep the minimum balance in their account to avoid fees or penalties every month
* The bank will make up the difference and then some soon enough

and with "fractional reserve scamming" it doesn't cost them anything to electronically "add/give" your "account" $100.00 Frauds...
