The Free State Project is pleased to announce that Irena Goddard, our 2007 Liberty Forum "Czarina" and Director of the FSP, has been appointed President of the Free State Project. Irena answered the call to action when Varrin Swearingen voiced his desire to replace himself by the end of the year. We are very grateful to have Irena lead our organization and look forward to the new energy and talent she brings to the equation. We are also very grateful to Varrin Swearingen for his service in leading the FSP for the last two years and his accomplishments for our organization including the successful completion of the First 1000 Pledge and the inauguration of our new event the Liberty Forum. Thank you Varrin and Irena!

Thanks to Irena for stepping up.

Thanks to Varrin for all the work he has done and now
that he is no longer Prez, I do believe I owe him
a belly bop.

Thank you, Varrin!

Thank you, I-dee-na!  ;) (As Ron Paul says about the FSP, "Absolutely! Czech it out!")

Two FSP presidents in a row living in NH... now if only we could get Jason and Amanda here, along with the rest of the movers and shakers.  ;D

A Non-Farewell Message From Varrin

Y'all,

I'd like to thank Irena Goddard for stepping up to replace me as President of
the Free State Project.  I've enjoyed my term of leadership and greatly
appreciate the work that so many of our dedicated volunteers have done to
move this project forward.  Thanks to all of you.

Irena became a vital part of that team over a year ago when she agreed to lead
the first ever New Hampshire Liberty Forum.  Her performance, the performance
of her team, and the performance of the Liberty Forum exceeded my
expectations in every way imaginable.  Several months ago, I began to put
feelers out for a replacement for me due to increasing time pressures on me
from several sources.  I now look forward to being a part of Irena's team as
she takes on the daunting task of being the President of the Free State
Project.

Irena has asked me to remain the National Media Representative and I am also
planning to refocus some energy on fundraising for the Free State Project.
Though I cannot continue to commit the organizational leadership time to the
Free State Project that I have been for the last couple of years, I do intend
to continue contributing in these and other small ways on into the future.

In liberty,

V-

I'll just add my thanks to Varrin for a job well done and to Irena for taking on a major, unpaid task.

Thank you, Varrin, and best of luck to Irena.  We know you will do a great job at Prez.  FSP is in capable hands.  To Liberty in Our Lifetime!
