jack of trades, master of none
« on: October 06, 2007, 11:13:33 pm »

Sorry if this is a bad forum for this but as it is my first post I don't know much about this forum.
I am not good at very many jobs.
Or at least not enough to get them.
My post title says it all.
I am not good at service jobs.
I determined that I can't "think" fast enough to do what is required.
I wouldn't do good as a fighter pilot.
I can't find out the jet's symbols in the desired time.
I am also not good at hearing some peoples accents.
I don't like taking orders.
To be more exact, I don't like doing something another person's way if mine is better.
I don't have many qualifications for many a career.
I didn't go to college, or at not least officially, i.e. I have no degree.
I tried a few classes but they just weren't compatible with my style.
I am better at learning my own way such as through books.
I learned quite a bit of calculus that way.
Computers, math, and history as well.
Not many universities allow self-study and then tests later without actually going to class.
They don't like skipping coarses for people who don't need them, such as an art class for computer credits.
Any suggestions any the problem?

P.S. Forgive my plethora of "i"s.
As well as many "couldn't"s and such.

It's easier to find jobs when you're actually in New Hampshire and able to go around in person.   :)  There are alot of job openings if you don't mind doing things like working in a restaurant or grocery store.

Upon re-reading your post, you may want to try to work for yourself.  The "I don't like taking orders" thing may make it hard to be an employee...and the "slothman" name doesn't lend much confidence.
