Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and document existing and new manufacturing processes
- Manage cost-reduction projects to ensure cost effective manufacturing operation
- Review product design and make appropriate recommendations of design changes to optimize producibility
- Develop jugs, tools, fixtures and methods for efficient fabrication and assemble
- Manage manufacturing process failure analysis anda recovery
- Communicate with Customers on manufacturing issues
- Manage manufacturing improvement projects
- Cooperate with the manufacturing engineering team in support of all manufacturing processes: Through-hole soldering, SMT, Conformal coating, Press-fit, and Test
Position Specifications:
- BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience with interconnection technologies and PCB assembly (SMT, Conformal Coating, Press-fit)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated self-starter, independent, work with limited supervision, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity of Amphenol products and processes, as well as the customer's end products preferred
- Familiarity with the Military/Aerospace market preferred
- Familiarity or prior experience with industry specifications preferred (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-A-28870, IPC-CC-830, etc.)
