Hotel space
« on: January 14, 2007, 09:10:36 pm »

Hello,

Just wanted to let many of you know that the hotel space is filling up.
We met with the hotel today and they said they were surprised that so many people have already signed up for hotel space... and we have 6 weeks to go. So if you plan on staying at the Holiday Inn you had better go and get your rooms quickly because there are only 122 rooms there.  Sign up from the Liberty Forum page so that you get the great rate.

I signed up yesterday, so there should still be rooms available...

I signed up today but the special rate rooms were all booked up.
Rooms at other rates were still available.

The Liberty Forum webpages have been updated, and no longer contain the Holiday Inn special-rate link.
Instead, we have:
--------------------------------------

To place reservations at the Concord Holiday Inn, call 603-224-9534

We also suggest the Marriott Courtyard Concord, which is conveniently located just under 1 mile away. To book a room, click this link, or call: 603-225-0303

If you're on a budget, you might try the Days Inn. It's about two miles away, but I got a room for $68/night through Orbitz. Anybody else staying there with a car or who wants to share a cab to and from the convention or who would like to share a room with two Queen beds? If so, please send me a private message. If you want to share the room all I ask is that you plan on sleeping at night and don't smoke.

Hotel name: Days Inn Concord
Address:
406 South Main Street
Exit 12S off I-93
Concord, NH 03301
Phone number: 603-224-2511

I wasn't planning on staying up in Concord, since I live only an hour away, but circumstances changed.  I put a few bids in on priceline and got the Courtyard for $59 a night.  You might be able to get it for a bit less, or maybe you might have to bid more.  There is to people's knowledge, only 1 hotel in the Concord area on Priceline, the 2.5 star Courtyard.  If you start a low bid at 2.5 stars and it is rejected, you can keep adding a lower star level each time and increase your bid.  If the Courtyard accepts it, Priceline will tell you they upgraded you to a 2.5 star hotel.  If you add different regions, you could be staying quite a bit of a drive away from Concord, so don't be tempted to make that change during your re-bid unless you want to be in Manchester or Nashua.

If you don't reach anyone here, maybe place a note at the Registration Table at the Liberty Forum.
