I am coming to the freedom forum in February to meet you all and look the state over.  This will be my first ever visit to NH.  I signed up with the first 1000 on December 30th as a result of being prodded by an automated telephone call from a very dedicated Free Stater!  I've been a member for years, but this "1000" thing got me off and running.  I plan to start a business (I don't know how to be an employee) so I can not yet predict how soon.  Perhaps the Liberty Forum will  help direct my plans.  If you (all) are going to the Forum please look for "Stuart Cox" and say hi and give me your advice!

I have learned more about United States history. constitution and the supreme law of the land. How your civil servant are overstepping their boundaries all the time and how the sovereign people of America is not holding the civil servants responsible as the rightfully masters as they are. But rather follow all the unconstitutional laws that has been written and let be pushed around by their servants instead of bringing forth the rod an teach them who really is in charge. I have even seen reports of people dying mysteriously and dissapearing for being the tough masters that they need to be to uphold their sovereignty.

I am probably not going to be moving  :'(, while I would love to practice sovereignty with the contitution to juridically guarentee it to be possible by putting any civil servant that opposes my wish in juridical personal jeopardy. I can not imagine the bureaucrats would want me to immigrate. Such strong iberty lover that also would want to practice his sovereignty is nothing but trouble for them. Someone that actually would want to uphold the Supreme law of the land that they do not want to be upheld and tries to make sure that it is not to any costs. Which makes me feel afraid to immigrate and a sense of hopelessness over the whole situation.

Frankly, I don't know what to do??? I am doomed to slavery if I don't immigrate and I am doomed to a possible early death if I do immigrate. If as I said the bureaucrats actually would let me in, which I sincerely doubt.
I am so depressed, confused, angry and afraid. The whole situation is hopeless unless you people start taking action and fix this. Until then I will probably have no means of becomming soveriegn!

Well, Met, come on over.  Yes, it might adversely affect your lifespan.  A short life and a happy one.  Would you rather die on your feet or live on your knees?

As I've mentioned before, though I'd prefer that my obituary read "Missing and Presumed" I expect it to be "Shot While Resisting".

See you on the ramparts.

Immigrate :) My husband is Finnish (a Finnish Swede, to be exact) and he gets extremely depressed about the US when he reads news articles and that sort of thing. Then I remind him that New Hampshire isn't the rest of the US---we can still keep things from going down the poophole here.

Besides, he'll be thrilled to have someone else he can speak Swedish to ;)

By the end of 2008, as we pledged.

Realistically, that might shift a few months before our whole household is settled there, but we'll at least drive a stake in the ground there by then. While we don't want to move separately, the timing might force us to. And as badly as we'd hate to be separated, Mary is much more flexible than I am, because she can be self-employed in a heartbeat. Not to mention chomping at the bit to get there.

lord, I don't think it is as bad here as what you read online. We have problems, no doubt. However I don't think our government kills people in secret any more than other western nations. Likely they would just deport you and not kill you. I haven't noticed any suspicious deaths among Free Staters yet, and frankly I don't think I will.
The US is on a bad path, but we still have less of a police state than nations like England and France. Cameras don't record everything that goes on in most of our major cities (yet). Our police don't typically march around in fatigues with automatic rifles like they do in the streets of Paris.

After all the state motto is "Live free or die...death is not the worst of evils" It is worth taking a risk to live free, and we must take risks to stand up to tyranny.

I haven't signed the pledge yet, but my wife and I want to move to NH. I don't want to sign until the move is official. I have been following the FSP for a while now.

Family obligations have kept us here, but sadly those obligations are coming to a close. I have begun looking for work in NH and positioning ourselves financially for the move. Maybe just buy a business in NH and be done with it. I hope to move in '08 but it might be sooner or later depending. End of '09 at the latest. I weary of the nanny state.

That's my two cents worth.

I need to post my resume on the site and see who/what nibbles.... ;D

The wife has school to finish Nov 07 and then 30 days to sell our stuff, 30 days to stop over in the Socialist State of California to kiss and hug my family and then we are just going on to New Hampshire. We'll find jobs and a place to rent till we can find some land to build a home. We are just one of those radical idealists that are packing up and moving to where Liberty exists as a way of life and not just some tag line somewhere. You can bet though I'm going to be an activist though. See you all when I get there.

Anyone have any ideas where there is about 5 acres of land for farming? Don't send links, I've already visited site after site. I'm looking for something that prolly isn't advertised on MLS or some real estate company. Whats this thing I see about Change of Use tax? I see some properties have it and others don't. Also what is with selling property that has a no build variance on it? Seems to me that New Hampshire like my current state of Alaska has no shortage of recreational properties, but here they don't tell you, 'oh by the way, you can't put a building on it'. Wierd.

While I don't own a gun yet, I'm going to when I get there. Something about you can't bring guns through Canada. I'm more afraid of the government then I am of criminals. At least when a criminal demands money, its a one time thing.
