Ride share from Keene/Site split?
« on: May 28, 2006, 11:42:05 am »

Hey folks:

I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really wanna go to PorcFest this year, but I would need to do it on the SUPER CHEAP plan. Plus, I don't trust my car and cannot stand to drive in any place (the three hours to PF '04 was the longest I have ever driven in my life).

So, I'm wondering if I can catch a ride to there from Keene from somebody (I'll chip in some for gas) for the main weekend (I'm flexible) and if someone wants to spilt a site for that weekend (I'll pay 1/2 and I have my own tent).

You don't have to be able to do both, but if you are interested in splitting a site/sharing a ride, let me know!

For sleeping, if nothing else you could contact this person and stay with them, http://forum.freestateproject.org/index.php?topic=11839.0

Also, if you want to pay less, you should be able to just show up and be able to make an anouncement at one of the events that you will pay someone to let you put your tent on their camp area.

I'm full up and someone might have to pay $5 extra for a couple of nights, but, I'm sure you will have no trouble finding someone to share their site for a couple of nights.  I bought an extra site for the final weekend last year and don't think it got used.

Jim...If you can get hear, you are most welcome to join us.  We are full up, so it would
cost you $5 a night.

Of course you would have to pass mustard with a couple of Lovely Blonde Porc Lass's and be
on your honor to conduct yourself as a gentleman. :)

Thanks, folks.

It looks like I have a ride up now (the car is in a soap-opera-like repeating coma  ::)), so I'll start by taking you up on your offer, Dave*. I should have some books to sell with me, so if I sell a couple, I'll do somethin' nice for the porcies.
And I ALWAYS behave myself as a gentleman, but you know that, Dave.   8)

JM

*... Thanks to Keith and Stuff and Lloyd. But, I know if I hang with Dave, I can win a couple games of poker...  8) :D ;D BTW, Dave, we re-named the version of Follow the Queen that you learned before you came home to NH "Pittsburgh."  ;)

Roger that Mr Maynard, Sir. ;D  I will vouch for your character with the Lass's.  We will be at campsite 85,  I should get in early afternoon, uncertain about the Ladies.

Might want to check with Kate or Jean about perhaps putting out a few of your books somewhere.

Look forward to catching up with you in the north country.

Dave

BTW Adam is the guy you got to watch in the poker games.  Seems he ends up with a larger than prudent amount
of mine. ;D

Adam, huh? What IS it about the mid-Atlantic folks and cards? I remember at PorcFest '03, Keith Murphy was winning almost every hand. Ugh. Except, I won the last hand. I remember that...  ;D
