Reputable Real Estate Broker/ Where to buy Land
« on: June 15, 2006, 03:58:50 pm »

I was interested in buying a piece of land in NH in which to build a house on in the near future.  Would someone recommend an area to me?  I have the following criteria:
Somewhere in the Southern part of the State.  I don't want to be way up North; Suburban or Semi-rural area. I don't want to be in the sticks; Not to sound arrogant but I would like the townspeople to be somewhat sophisticated.  They don't have to be professional people but people who care about their community (in a non-socialist way) and value family and education(not necessarily schooling).  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, could someone recommend a reputable real estate broker/company.

lspooner,

There are many places in NH that fits what you are looking for.  Thinking you would
need to get into more specifics re your requiirements.

BTW if you are looking for someone to represent your interests in a possible real estate
transaction....Of course I would recomend me! ;D

In any case, would be happy to talk to you about what you are looking for in more
detail.  I'm in the business.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to find community mindedness in even rural areas. Its our traditions of volunteer government. Up in my area (an 1.5 hours north of Nashua) is Dartmouth College, Hitchcock Medical Center, Hood Museum, lots of arts and such, plenty of high tech.

We do sophisticated without the big city pretentiousness and arrogance....

Thanks to both of you.   I want to be clear that I don't wish to imply that rural=unsophisticated but sometimes it is true.  I definitely don't llike big city pretentiousness and arrogance.  I am a teacher (Math). I would like to teach in a private school, if possible.  I would like my commute to be no more than 30 minutes. I'm from NJ so I don't think the traffic in NH would be a factor.
