Moving--need to find home for cats by 22Feb
« on: February 19, 2009, 08:28:48 pm »

I'm moving and can't take the cats with me.

I've had both of them since Dec 2006 when they were kittens.  The short haired cat is a few months older, but they do get along well.  I have some food, and a litterbox that can go with them. They have both been indoor/outdoor, but the longhair mostly prefers to be indoor.  They have no medical problems.  Both are male and have been neutered.

I am involved in rescue, but I'm not in NH yet and have not developed any rescue contacts there.  I would suggest that you try posting on Craigslist and ask for a small adopt fee, a vet reference and a short talk with the potential adopters.  I'm sure it's not as important to take these steps in NH as it is in my city, but it will help your chances of finding your pets a wonderful home.
