Free Talk Live is on the air in NH!!
« on: May 25, 2005, 04:04:19 pm »

Free Talk Live we'll be on Saturday nights in New Hampshire!  It's only two of the three hours though, but it still counts!  You'll find us from 8p-10p EST on the following stations:

WNTK FM 99.7 - Lebanon, Franklin, Claremont, Concord, Keene?  (Preemptable by Red Sox)

WUVR AM 1490 - Lebanon Coverage Map  (The Sox are not on this station, so we'll always be on, but their signal is lacking compared to 99.7.)

Please call 603-448-0500 and tell the GM, Bob Vinikoor, that you heard Free Talk Live on Saturday nights and you want to hear it all 6 nights per week!

Thanks everyone.  Please post if you called and the results of your calls here.
Ian

This is excellent, Ian. Right in the area we need to penetrate into Vermont where it is useful: the corridor to Killington. I'm right in the coverage area now, in Grantham, so I'll be sure to promote it. Do you guys have any promo materials like posters, etc?

As a matter of fact, we do:

Have you called the GM?  It would be a HUGE help.  It'd be even better if you had a few friends do so as well.  Tell him you want to hear us all 6 nights per week.

Let me know, and thank you.

Bob is a good guy, he owns Koor Communications and has had monumental battles with Lebanon regarding radio towers. I would suggest you guys do a program focusing on property owners rights, particularly wrt their right to put up cellular and radio towers without government interference. It will go over quite well with him...

Next time it comes up, I'll be sure to mention it.. it's unlikely that he listens though.  Will you be able to make a call to him?

I just got off the phone with his secretary, as he was on the road. I congratulated them for getting your show on on Saturdays and wanted to encourage them to have it on all 6 days, that all the libertarians in the area are excited to have the show and want to hear more of it. I will put a bit out on the dartmouth-porcs yahoogroup, which is the FSP local group for that stations coverage area, to have people listen in and call into the show.

Excellent.  Listening is good, calling the station is even better.  It really makes an impression on programmers.

Thanks for your help, Mike.

A few more calls, and old Bruce Williams will be gone.  ;)

We will, Brian.  Sooner rather than later.

The FSP advertising, Reasontofreedom.com's advertising, and our new AMP program where our listeners are contributing money to Advertise, Market, and Promote the show are all going to fund a 1/2 page ad in TALKERS Magazine.  (You can see it here, though as I'm writing this my server is down, so try this link later:  http://freetalklive.com/images/FTLTalkersJUL.jpg )

The ad is awesome, and up until this point we've only been able to afford a 1/16th page.

July is going to be a great month for Porcs to call their local stations.  If you can help promote that idea, Brian in the next email update, it could really pay off.

It would be a coordinated assault on the Programmers' senses.  They'd SEE our 1/2 page ad and they'd HEAR from listeners (or potential listeners) in their area that want Free Talk Live!

We really can bring the FSP message to hundreds of markets, and with your help, fellow porcupines, it can happen soon!

Here's how to help:

1.  Call your local talk stations.  ( find them at http://radio-locator.com )  Tell the Program Director you want to hear Free Talk Live!
2.  If you like what we are doing on the show (promoting Liberty and the FSP 6 nights a week), and can afford it, please consider contributing $3 a month to our AMP program at http://amp.freetalklive.com .  Once we reach our goal, we have something VERY exciting planned.

Thanks!
Ian
