How do you feel about the FSP? Put it in writing!
« on: July 27, 2002, 10:58:16 pm »

We would like those who are interested to submit a quote of 100 words (5 lines) or less on "Why the FSP is a great idea."  We plan to use the quotes on the website in rotation on the main page, and also in newsletters and mailings.

If you post here, please know this gives us permission to use your quotes as described above.  We hope to use first names and last initials (e.g., Elizabeth M.) so if you could provide that as well, that would be super!

I know you all love to express yourselves, so here's your chance to do it for the FSP!

Anyone?  anyone?   :(

Sorry I been soooooo busy.  How's this for starters?

The Fedgov and the courts are stacked against us.  The masses have their hand out for SS benefits, unemployment, welfare, farm subsidies… you name it…  and they are pretty unwilling to sacrifice those handouts in exchange for freedom.  Before discovering the FSP I felt the hope of freedom was dead and there was nothing I could do about it.  Now I have a venue for expressing myself and actually working toward freedom in our lifetime.

It is more than five lines here but word count tells me it is only 75 words.  Is that okay?

I've been waiting for FSP for the last fifteen years.  I'm loathe to give up the Constitution of the United States, but the mere threat of tyranny from all levels of government being applied to me and mine has me ready to pack--'cept I can't think of anyplace better.  The FSP foundations will have to be as spiritually inspired as the foundations of this country, or I'll stick to my guns.

What state are you in now, Excalibur?

The whisper of freedom, distant and faint, rides on the morning breeze.
It echoes lightly through the hills and sneaks between the trees.
My hair is tussled, the leaves are rustled, I almost hear the words.
The wind picks up, feathers bare, seven hundred freedom birds.
The howling starts, it holds me up, the words now crystal clear.
They ring aloud throughout the land, "Free State, Now!" I hear.

I posted to the email group about a wonderful quote I think would fit here, however, it's not mine to pass around.

Jim (WarEagle), if you're on the forum, please, post it here, I think it's great.

Otherwise, I think he should be asked for permission to use it, again, I think it's great.

Also, this thread needed bumping again. ;)

The Free State may be the last hope Americans have of re-establishing the freedom principles of the original American Republic and Constitution on American soil.  Otherwise, it will be necessary for expatriate Americans to join with freedom-loving people of other countries to carry on those principles of liberty offshore of the land where these principles were born.

I am very interested in the idea behind FSP. I have a web site, attackthesystem.com, where I deal with secessionism and other antigovernment topics. I believe secessionist movements are going to be the wave of the future in the advanced nations at some point. Hans Hoppe makes this point in "Democracy: The God That Failed". It would be best if local and regional secession movements were mutually supportive of each other. United we stand. FSP should take a look at the Alaskan Independence Party, League of the South, Republic of Texas, Green Panthers, local secessionists like those in Hollywood, etc.  Another advantage to a secessionist strategy is its consistency with American cultural history.

Green Panthers

Those guys are a bunch of idiots.  Sorry.  Just had to add my two cents, or something...

Is there or will there be a section of this forum or a different forum or a list where people can receive info on the progress of the free-state??
I do not have time to filter thru 100 posts that remind me of a freshman poli-sci course??

There's the announcements list (you can find it on the FSP web site) and then the announcements section of the forum.  In the past, we've made posts to the annnouncements section open for comment, but I think (for reasons like the one you just stated), we should probably just make the announcement and lock it, and people can discuss it in the general area. That way if you just wanna know what's going on, you can look there.

That sound like a plan?
