Alexa review of FSP website
« on: July 29, 2002, 01:17:29 pm »

What do you think about FSP's website, www.freestateproject.org?  Well, don't keep those thoughts to yourself--tell the whole world what you think!  The Alexa search engine invites users to post reviews of webistes, much like book reviews on Amazon.com, for all to read.  Lets get some positive reviews posted!

Well, looks like we don't have many sites linked to us -- I wish someone would pick that project up where Kim left off -- and their traffic rankings are dependent upon those using the Alexa toolbar, which is only available for Windows/IE -- I have Mac.  Hmph.  Plus, does anyone else have trouble getting the Alexa site to load?  It takes fricking forever for me, and I'm on a cable modem with few problems, normally.

Hey Elizabeth I know I haven't been around too long (since march or april) but who is Kim and why did she have to stop this project?  This leads me into another question I've had Surely there are people who get 'burnt out' on this project (not you though! really though your committment is truely inspiring!  :-*) I was wondering how many people have been super active with this project and then kind of gotten sorta burnt out, and whether they're still part of the project, whether you guys hear from them, whether they still want to put time and effort into this or not.  While our numbers say 566 sometimes I wonder how many of these people signed up and then forgot about the project or changed their mind and didn't bother to tell us.  I believe this may be a problem when the time to move comes.  That's why I think this online forum is so great.  Because even more than helping us expand membership and statigize it make people feel like they are part of a community.  A living, evolving, struggling to grow community and it keeps people involve and interested in this project.  I don't know I guess I was just wonder about what kind of mortality rates have you seen for people on this project, and what can we do to keep these people at least semi-involved.
