I thought this book was a worthwhile read, but a lot of Gatto's stuff stretches things a la Michael Moore to the point that it's hard to buy wholesale into everything he writes. It takes away from his message when the reader has to run references on everything that sounds outrageous, and sometimes really is unfounded or less-well-founded than the book makes out.
