Patrick,

You wrote:

I believe it's always wrong to violate individual rights.
Are you saying in certain circumstances it's right to violate individual rights?

Best, Michael

Put it this way. If someone is shooting at you and trying to kill you - you should be able to shoot back - no matter what or who is in the way. It's awful, I know. But what else are you supposed to do? Not defend yourself?

It is awful, and WRONG!  It is wrong to shoot someone who is NOT attacking you!  If you cannot effectively shoot at your attacker then perhaps seeking cover or a better firing solution are possible answers.

Better watch out michael, if Patrick doesn't agree with you he'll call you an idiot!

Plus, be careful to not say anything to him that he may percieve as a threat, as he'll hunt you down, and kill you:

Hi Ian,

I've appreciated your posts over the past year, which I've found interesting, informative, and knowledgeable (I've learned from them!).

Please return to your usual high quality. Thanks.

Michael,

Thanks for the comments.  I was feeling a little sarcastic when I last posted on this thread.
If you have enjoyed my posts, you'd probably enjoy my radio show.  I'm working on bringing it back on the air & Internet.  I'll post when (and if)  it returns...

Regards,
Ian

Ian,

Hey, we all have our off-days.  :P

When and if your radio show returns, please keep me in mind as a possible guest. I frequently do radio interviews on the subject of my book, Three Minute Therapy: Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life. To get the gist of it, go to: www.ThreeMinuteTherapy.com.

Michael,

Thanks for the suggestion, but Free Talk Live doesn't really have guests, it's an open format talk show.  You could always call in (if we were on the air).  We don't screen out most calls.

Ian,

When you go on the air, please announce the details on the Message Board. This would provide a great opportunity for FSPers to call in and inform your audience of the goals and benefits of the FSP.

Thanks, Michael
