17) Portsmouth is home to New Hampshire's very own submarine, the USS Albacore.

The tax is pretty high in Durham and Lee, but otherwise it is very low in the Seacoast area.

Newington's tax rate is $9.46.

20. I'm planning on finding others to help jump-start bimetallism (gold and silver bullion) as a free market currency in Portsmouth and the entire Seacoast area!

Bimetallism as a Currency

Hopefully some people will help me out with this effort.  :)

I think by "effective rate", they may mean the amount paid vs. amount back from Concord.
But when it comes to cutting a check, we're paying the same thing.
So CoL is the same as far as tax is concerned.

21. Seacoast Friends of the NRA.

This program supports conservation efforts, youth hunter education, firearms safety training, range development, and many other vital programs. Half of the funds raised this year at our  Banquet and Auction stay right here in N.H. supporting projects that encourage responsible firearms ownership and use.

(Okay, so I don't support the NRA, so what?)   ;D

Do you want me to get rid of #6, Jim?  Never!  ;)

The effective rate depends on the actual rate and the portion of assessed value that is taxed. I'm not totally sure what you mean by "amount back from Concord," but this is not calculated like the Tax Foundation's report on how much money states pay to the Feds compared to how much they get back.

It's reasonable to point out that the higher property values in the Seacoast region compared to other parts of the state would help them get by with lower tax rates. But, the rates are still lower.

Way to go! I'm there.  :D

Which brings us to reason #23...

23) I'm planning to start a flea market for porcupines on the seacoast where gold and silver circulate freely.

22. New Hampshire's finest fresh roasted coffee is in Dover.

It sure is. And they have a drive through kiosk out front so you can pick up a cup whenever you like. It is delicious!

(I force myself to limit this activity to weekends only so I don't get addicted...  :P)

But, the rates are still lower.

Read it again, Adam.

I'm paying $33/$1000

Michelle is paying $33/$1000

The rates are the same. ;)

And I suggest a Free State Coffee brew-off :)
