The Objectivist Center Website Mentions FSP
« on: December 12, 2003, 01:45:34 am »

I kept on sending emails to the TOC "ask a question about Objectivism" staff and they finally mentioned the FSP on their site! :D

"It is a matter of practical politics to find ways to increase our political liberty. The Free State Project (www.freestateproject.org) is an attempt to concentrate activists with generally libertarian political views in a single American state. The state the organization has chosen is New Hampshire. One can read about their reason on their web site. The goal is exploit the existing tradition of liberty in New Hampshire, its relatively small population, and the latitude for state policy in America's federal system of government to create a substantially libertarian political unit there within the next generation."

"Any lover of liberty would wish the project to succeed."

Hey, that's cool!  :D

Keep up the good work with the recruitment efforts! I'll see you back on the battlefield.  ;)

It looks like your being persistent won the day with that, New Intellectual.  You've inspired me to re-try a couple of different people I had contacted previously in some of my similar efforts.

Yes, I just got an invitation to write an essay about the FSP for consideration by a high school political debating club.

Originally, he called us all fools and dismissed the idea, but I was able to convience him to at least hear me out.  When it is complete I will make it available for view/suggestions before I send it to him.

Sabine still hasn't read Rand. It will be interesting to see what happens when she does.
